Slow cooker creamy corn recipe. Canned whole kernel corn with butter and cream cheese cooked in a slow cooker. You may also like Clam and Corn Chowder, another easy and yummy corn recipe cooked in a slow cooker (crock pot).
Slow Cooker Creamy Corn Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 16 oz (480 ml) cans each whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 cup (250 ml) milk
- 1 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 8 oz (240 g) cream cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup sliced unsalted butter
- ground cinnamon and chopped green onions, for garnish
Method
Step 1
In a 4-6-quart (4-6 L) slow cooker, combine drained corn, milk, salt, and black pepper. Stir well. Top with sliced butter and cubed cheese.
Step 2
Close the pot and cook on high-heat setting for 2-3 hours.
Step 3
Turn off the cooker and open the lid. Stir in until the butter and cheese are well combined.
Step 4
Cover the crock pot and cook for a further 15 minutes.
Step 5
Transfer to serving plates. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and chopped green onions (optional). Serve hot.
