- 3 Russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 large carrot, peeled and sliced
- 4 cups sliced Andouille sausages, saute until lightly browned
- 3 cups (750 ml) vegetable broth
- 1 cup diced yellow onion
- 4 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cups (500 ml) whole milk
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
