Slow Cooker Finger Barbecue Chicken Drumsticks Recipe

Skinless chicken drumsticks with barbecue sauce, peach preserves, and mustard cooked in 4-quart (4 L) slow cooker.

Makes 4-6 servings

Ingredients: 2½-3 pounds (1.2-1.4 kg) skinless chicken drumsticks, 1 cup (250 ml) barbecue sauce, 1/2 cup (125 ml) apricot or peaches preserves, 2 teaspoons (20 ml) yellow mustard


Instructions: Lightly grease the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place skinless chicken drumsticks in a greased pot. In a small mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, apricot or peach preserves, and yellow mustard. Mix well. Pour barbecue mixture in over chicken in the slow cooker.

Cover the cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. using tongs, transfer cooked chicken drumsticks to a serving plate. Cover with an aluminum foil and keep warm. Pour the cooking liquid into a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for abpout10 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat. serve thickened sauce with cooked chicken.

Slow Cooker Honey Sriracha Chicken Drumsticks Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.44 kg) skin-on chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) clear honey
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sriracha sauce
  • frshly squeezed lime juice

Method

Step 1

Grease your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken drumsticks on the bottom of the cooker.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine honey, sriracha sauce, and lime juice. Whisk well and pour honey-sriracha mixture over the chicken in slow cooker.

Step 3

Cover the cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 4-6 hours.

Step 4

Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Using two forks, lift the chicken from the slow cooker and arrange the pieces aluminum foil-lined baking sheet.

Step 5

Preheat the oven broil. Spoon sweet and spice sauce over the chicken and broil for about 4 minutes.

Step 6

Remove broiled chicken drumsticks from the broil and trabsfer to serving plates. Pour sauce over and serve immediatelly.
