Crockpot Paleo teriyaki chicken drumsticks recipe. Chicken drumsticks with honey and spices cooked in a crock pot. Very simple and easy chicken recipe. This delicious recipe is one of my favorite chicken recipes.
Crockpot Paleo Teriyaki Chicken Drumsticks Recipe
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients: 2 cups (500 ml) coconut aminos ( this sauce is made from coconut-blossom nectar, then fermented and blended with sea salt. Coconut aminos has 73 percent less sodium than soy sauce. It is a very popular sauce through the Paleo diet and has a unique flavor.) 1 cup (250 ml) water, 4 garlic cloves, 4 tablespoons (60 ml) freshly grated ginger, 4 tablespoons (2 oz (60 ml) raw honey, kosher salt, to taste, 3 pounds (1.44 kg) chicken drumsticks, 1 teaspoon (10 ml) sesame seeds ( I used toasted), 1/4 cup (60 ml) sliced fresh scallions
Instructions: Pat chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels. Set aside. Peel garlic cloves and mince. In a large mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, coconut aminos, water, grated ginger, raw honey, and kosher salt. Mix well, then add chicken drumsticks and coat well with honey mixture.
Transfer chicken to 4-6-quart (4-6 L) crockpot. Pour the honey sauce over. Close crockpot and cook on high heat setting for about 3 hours, or until chicken is tender.
Turn off the crockpot and open the lid. Using tongs, transfer cooked chicken drumsticks to a serving platter. Pour 2 cups (500 ml) of honey sauce into a large nonstick skillet. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until it is reduced to a thick liquid.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced scallions. Serve immediately. Enjoy.

Teriyaki Chicken Wings in Slow Cooker

- 4 tablespoons grated ginger
- 4 tablespoons raw honey
- 3 pounds (1.44 kg) chicken drumsticks
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup sliced scallions
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, except chicken drumsticks. Mix well.
Add chicken drumsticks to the mixture and coat well. Transfer to 4-6-quart (4-6 L) crockpot. Pour honey mixture over.
Close the crockpot and cook on high heat setting for 3 hours.
Pour 2 cups (500 ml) of sauce to a large nonstick skillet. Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it is reduced to a thick liquid.
