Slow cooker pork and cabbage. Pork loin roast with vegetables and spices cooked in a slow cooker. Very easy and delicious.
Ingredients
- 2 medium yellow onions,peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 3 pounds (1.44 kg) pork loin roast,trimmed
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Method
Step 1
Lightly grease slow cooker with cooking spray.
Step 2
Put onions and cabbage on bottom of slow cooker. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes and 1 teaspoon minced garlic. Place pork roast on top of vegetables and sprinkle with remaining red pepper and minced garlic. Cover crock pot and cook on low heat for 6-8 hour or high heat for 3-4 hours.
Step 3
Remove pork from slow cooker. Shred cooked meat with 2 forks and set aside.
Step 4
Combine together water and cornstarch in small bowl. Mix until smooth. Add to slow cooker and mix to blend.
Step 5
Cook mixture,stirring occasionally for 15-20 minutes. Return meat to crock pot. Mix well with sauce,and heat through.

Before or after you put the bbq sauce.
