Slow cooker pulled chicken sandwiches recipe.Chicken breasts with ketchup,coca cola and mustard cooked in slow cooker and served with hamburger buns.Very easy and super tasty chicken sandwiches!
Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) boneless and skinless chicken breats,quartered
- 12 oz (360 ml) can coca cola
- 1 cup (250 ml) ketchup
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold water
- salt and freshly ground black pepper,to taste
- 8 hamburger buns
Method
Step 1
In a slow cooker,combine all ingredients,except cornstarch,water,seasoning and hamburger buns. Stir well.
Step 2
Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 6-8 hours. Increase heat to high and cook for a further 10 minutes.
Step 3
Stir in combined cornstarch and cold water,stirring 2-3 minutes. Stir to shred chicken. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Serve pulled chicken in hamburger buns.
