Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb (360 g) boneless, skinless turkey breasts, cut into small pieces
  • 2 green apples, cored and also diced
  • 2 pounds (960 g) yams, peeled and cut into 1-inch(2,5 cm) chunks
  • 1/4 cup onion, peeled and also chopped
  • 1 cup (250 ml) chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioka
  • 1 tablespoon of maple-flavored syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) light sour cream

Method

Step 1

Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray. Combine all ingredients, except sour cream in the crock pot.

Step 2

Cover crockpot and cook on low-heat setting for 6-7 hours, or until yams are tender. Serve slow cooker turkey in a bowl with sour cream.
