Ingredients
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 pound (480 g) fresh scallops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
Step 1
Place beaten egg in a small bowl. In a separate bowls, place breadcrumbs and flour.
Step 2
Dredge scallops in the flour, then shake off any excess. Dip coated scallops in the egg and roll in breadcrumbs. Lightly brush with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
Step 3
Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Place scallops in the air fryer basket. Fry at 360 F 9180 C) for 6-8 minutes, or until they are firm.
Step 5
Remove frier scallops from the air fryer and transfer to a serving plate. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Recipe was easy, scallops were juicy but the breading had no flavor.
