Air fryer golden French toast sticks recipe. French toast sticks are the perfect paleo breakfast. This recipe is made into golden brown, crispy French toast sticks that are cooked up in just 15 minutes in an air fryer.

Please note, the cooking time is just an estimate and can vary based on the Air Fryer model. I used my Kyvol Air Fryer, to make this yummy dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup crushed cornflakes
  • 6 slices sandwich bread, cut each into 4 strips
  • maple syrup, for dipping
  • fresh blueberries or another berries, to serve

Method

Step 1

In a small mixing bowl, combine beaten eggs, milk, salt, and vanilla. Beat well and set aside.

Step 2

Put crushed cornflakes in a shallow dish. Dip bread strips in the egg mixture first, shake off excess, then roll in the cornflakes. Spray both sides of the bread strips with cooking oil.

Step 3

Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Working in batches, carefully place bread strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Fry at 390 F (195 C) for 6 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Repeat with the remaining sticks.

Step 5

Remove the fried breadstick from the fryer and transfer it to a serving plate. Serve with maple syrup and your favorite berries.
