Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound (480 g) pizza dough
- 1 cup (250 ml) pizza sauce
- 1½ cups grated Mozzarella cheese
- 1-2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- pinch of dried oregano
- For the Topping:
- prosciutto
- mushrooms
- fresh basil leaves
Method
Step 1
Allow to pizza dough to come to room temperature. Grease a 7-8-inch (17.5-20 cm) cake pan with olive oil.
Step 2
Pizza dough should be stretched to fit the shape of the pan it's being made in. Transfer the dough to the pan, press the dough out to touch the outer edges of the frying pan. To have a crunchy crust on your pizza, top the dough with olive oil and poke it with a fork before baking. Cover your dough with a clean kitchen towel and leave it in a warm place to rise for 45-60 minutes.
Step 3
Fry the pizza at 400 F (200 C) for 10 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned. Carefully remove the pan from the fryer, then flip the baked dough over in the pan. Brush the edges with more oil. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough. Top with Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, prosciutto, and mushrooms.
Step 4
Fry at 375 F (190 C) for 12 minutes, or until the crust is browned and cheese is melted. Serve hot.
