Crockpot Parmesan honey pork roast. The sweet and savory flavors of this Parmesan honey pork roast are perfect for fall and winter. It’s a cozy, comforting meal that’s just the right side of decadent. The secret to this dish is that it uses a crockpot. You can cook the roast and then serve it with some mashed potatoes, or you can cook the potatoes and serve them on top of the roast after cooking.

How the Crockpots Changed Cooking

The Crockpot is a slow cooker that cooks food in a pot on the stovetop. It is an ideal appliance for people who are busy and want to cook healthy meals that they can put together at home.

Slow cooking is a technique where food is cooked slowly, without any added liquid. The heat slowly penetrates the food from all sides, making it tender and juicy. There are many benefits of slow cooking, including healthier meals with less calories, less fat, and more nutrients.

Why Parmesan Honey Pork Roast is Tasty?

I love my crockpot any day of the week but Sunday is my favorite. Slow cooking recipes like this Sunday roast give you the ability to have a stress-free and much-needed day off. They help make work days feel more restorative.

With a classic cut of meat like pork, you’ll get meals for any diet or occasion. It’s easy on the budget and its versatility is amazing!

Can I Store Leftovers?

Leftover pork can be stored in a refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen in an air-tight container for 3 months. Leftovers can be used to make a delicious sandwich or taco. It also goes well on top of nachos too!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.44 kg) boneless pork loin roast
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) chicken broth

Method

Step 1

Place pork roast in a slow cooker.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, combine grated cheese, honey, soy sauce, basil, oregano, garlic, olive oil, and salt. Mix well, then pour the mixture over the top of the roast in the slow cooker. Cover the pot and cook on a low-heat setting for 5-6 hours.

Step 3

Turn off the crockpot and open the lid. Using tongs, remove the meat and transfer it to a large plate.

Step 4

Strain cooking liquid from the cooker and pour it into a small saucepan. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and chicken broth. Stir well. Add the broth mixture into strained liquid and cooking and stir over medium heat until thickened.

Step 5

Slice the pork roast. Pour the galze over it. Serve hot.
