Ingredients
- 2 pounds (960 g) pork tenderloin
- 1 teaspoon ground sage
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 clove garlic,peeled and crushed
- 1 cup (250 ml) water divided
- 1/2 cup (125g) brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Method
Step 1
In a mixing bowl,combine ground sage,crushed garlic,salt and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Step 2
Rub well pork tenderloin with seasoning mixture.
Step 3
Pour 1/2 cup water into slow cooker. Place rubbed pork tenderloin. Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 6-8 hours.
Step 4
In a small saucepan,combine brown sugar,cornstarch,balsamic vinegar,soy sauce and remaining 1/2 cup water. Cook,stirring,over medium heat until mixture thickens,for about 4 minutes. Brush pork roast with glaze 2 - 3 times during the last hour of cooking.
Step 5
Serve slow cooker balsamic glazed pork tenderloin with remaining glaze on the side.
