Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (960 g) pork tenderloin
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic,peeled and crushed
  • 1 cup (250 ml) water divided
  • 1/2 cup (125g) brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Method

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine ground sage, crushed garlic, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Step 2

Rub well pork tenderloin with seasoning mixture.

Step 3

Pour 1/2 cup water into the slow cooker. Place rubbed pork tenderloin. Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 6-8 hours.

Step 4

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and remaining 1/2 cup water. Cook, stirring, over medium heat until mixture thickens, for about 4 minutes. Brush pork roast with glaze 2 - 3 times during the last hour of cooking.

Step 5

Serve slow cooker balsamic glazed pork tenderloin with remaining glaze on the side.
