What is a Fondue and Why is it So Popular?

Fondue has been around for centuries, but it became popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It was originally served as an after-dinner dessert, but now almost every cuisine has its own version.
The popularity of fondue can be attributed to its versatility and ease of preparation. It can be served with bread, vegetables, fruit, meats, crackers, and even wine! There are even non-alcoholic versions available for those who don’t drink alcohol.
