Real Mashed Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients: 2 pounds (960 g) Idaho potatoes, peeled, cooked and kept warm, 1/3 cup (80 ml) each: 2% low-fat milk and sour cream, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Make traditional meatloaf recipe, adding 1 oz (30 g) grated Parmesan cheese, 2 oz (60 g) shredded low-fat Mozzarella cheese, and 2 tablespoons chopped pitted ripe olives. Slow Cooker Easy Traditional Meatloaf Recipe
- 1 ½ pounds (720 g) lean ground beef
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) 2% low-fat milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) ketchup
- 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt and 1.2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Make foil handle, cutting 2 long strips of aluminum foil that will fit into the slow cooker, going across the bottom and extending to the top of the sides of slow cooker.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix until well blended. Pat beef mixture into a loaf shape and place in slow cooker (make sure sides of loaf don't tuch cooker). Insert meat termometer in the center of loaf.
Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 6-7 hours or until meat termomnetr registers 170 F (85 C). Turn off slow cooker and remove meatloaf, using foil hamdles.
Loosely cover with aluminum foil and let sytand for 10 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
