Air fryer Korean chicken wings recipe. Learn how to cook spicy Asian chicken wings in an air fryer. Please note, that the cooking time is just an estimate and can vary based on the Air Fryer model. I used my Kyvol Air Fryer, to make this delicious dish.
This recipe includes Korean Gochujang sauce. If you don’t have it, use an alternative. This alternative is not perfect, but it is the quickest solution:
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes, a few dashes of low-sodium soy sauce, and a dash of sugar
In a small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well.

Ingredients
- 2 pound (960 g) chicken wings
- 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons Korean gochujang sauce
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar
- 2 packets Splenda
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- For Garnish:
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 1/4 cupchopped green onions
Method
Step 1
Line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Arrange the rack on the foil-lined pan.
Step 2
Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5minutes.
Step 3
Rub the chicken wings with salt and black pepper. Transfer to the rack.
Step 4
Fry for 20 minutes or until wings are browned, flipping them halfway through.
Step 5
Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for the sauce. Mix well. Reserve half of the sauce in a separate bowl.
Step 6
Remove fried wings from the fryer. Toss with half of the sauce. Return chicken wings to the air fryer. Fry at 400 F 9200 C) for a further 5 minutes.
Step 7
Remove the wings from the fryer and transfer to a large plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot with reserved sauce.
