Ingredients
- 2½ pounds (1.5 kg) chicken wings
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) salsa
- 2 tablespoons+1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 teaspoons+3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
Method
Step 1
Place chicken wings in a 3½-4-quart (3-4L) slow cooker.
Step 2
In a small mixing bowl, combine salsa, peanut butter (2 tbsps), lime juice, soy sauce (2 tsps), and ginger. Mix well, and pour the salsa mixture over the chicken wings. Toss well to coat.
Step 3
Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 5-6 hours.
Step 4
Drain chicken wings and discard cooking liquid. Return chicken wings to slow cooker. Gently stir in peanut sauce(recipe follows). Serve slow cooker Thai chicken wings Immediately.
