Slow cooker shrimp bisque. A quick and easy recipe for shrimp bisque that can be made in a slow cooker.
What are some of the benefits of using a slow cooker to prepare food?
Slow cookers are a great way to prepare food because they use less energy and can be left unattended for hours.
A slow cooker is a type of kitchen appliance that uses low, steady, moist heat to cook food over an extended period of time. The heat source is usually on the bottom and the pot sits on top. It’s also known as a crockpot (a trademarked name), or a multicooker. Slow cookers are popular in households because they use less energy than other cooking methods, such as ovens, stoves, microwaves or grills. They can also be left unattended for hours without worrying about overcooking or burning the food inside.
